我看蔡大教授书里面讲了前半句，不知道心里面是不是想着后半句.

BTW，为了保护视力，我是站在镜子前面打字的，看到的屏幕是经过镜面反射的，所以左右颠倒。
这样屏幕发出来的有害射线就会穿过镜子，而不会反射给我。高明哇.

The term dark side comes from Star Wars, in which force users are very powerful. Usually they are far more powerful than regular creatures. One well-trained Jedi Knight can easily defeat hundreds of droid soliders. Also Jedi could use "mind trick" on weak-minded creatures to make them follow Jedi's instructions.

Such power is much desired but hard to gain or learn. Some says the force is born with someone, not one could retrieve through training. No matter what, being force-powerful is kind of cool and beneficial. Kids or even infants will be picked and sent to Jedi Temple for training if identified as force-sensitive.

Therefore demonstrating the force potential of their kids has become the most important task for all the parents throughout the galaxy, despite the species..

The force has its dark side. The dark side is considered a quick and dirty way to achieve mastery of the force. The way towards the dark side is through anger and revenge.

"Release your anger, fulfill your destiny."  Count Dooku had been telling this to young Anakin Skywalker all the time whenever they encountered each other.

With the dark side one could become more powerful in much shorter time. So why don't the canonical Jedi knights follow this path? Because it does not last long and is considered evil.

Evil? You ask.

Yes. Evil. People are quick to see what could be seen but are usually blind to what happens inside one's heart or mind. The dark side corrupts best men's heart. By embracing anger and hatred, one could stir his or her force potent, however by forgetting what he or she is using force for.

In the time of peace, order and freedom, this usually is not a problem. These dark siders gain a position in the society, earn good incoming, and that's it. However when the dark time is about to turn, tragedy is inevitable..

It will be exaggerating to say that Tiger Moms' way is the dark side of parenting because I haven't seen any thing evil here yet. Nor will it be fair to compare real-world against sci-fi, in which people are clearly separated into good-evil camps in a way people would tell back apart form white. Oh wait a minute, Count Dooku had a dream to reform the republic and put down the corruption, and Anakin once thought of an ideal political system...

Never mind, there are still parallelism here to be exploited.

Quick. Think about passing grade 10 for piano at age of 12. Think about solving 2000 math problems in a night. You simply couldn't be slow when you are running 20 hours every day without recreation, social, sleepover, electronic games, TVs, campus opera, etc. Or could you? However you never for how long can you keep this pace. Life is not a 100-meter race. Remember what Obi-wan told Darth Vader: "Strike me down and I will become much more powerful than you could ever image." Tiger Moms win the first 100 meters. Congratulations!

And dirty. Dark Side followers utilize their anger. Tiger Moms humiliate theirs kids with words like garbage. In the just-aired Clone Wars Episode 14 of Season 3, Count Dooku punished Savage Opress for not following the exact order, you know, using force lightening. Guess what happened next minute? Savage Opress fight against him along with Asajj Ventress. Well, Tiger Moms' daughters are not Savage so they don't fight back. Who knows. Like the balance of force will be broken, the natural tie between mother and kids, might also break..

Sadly, Dark Side is inevitable. It is not that force followers are unable to eliminate the Dark Side, but because of common inability for the parents to follow the bright side. One must have the courage to face the difficulty and possible downfall along the way towards maturity.

The same here in our galaxy. Tiger Moms have to let the kids face the true life, and gain true courage by conquering real-life challenges..

我看这个作者不烂嘛。
你看哦，因为美国经济其实很成功，所以那个前提不存在，“那么”之后的话，也就没有必要了。

人家领先就领先在这里，一有风吹草动，马上就反省自己是不是做得还不够好，会不会被人超越。好好考虑别人有没有值得学习、借鉴的。

不像某些宁，躺在祖宗五千年的历史上面，空做迷梦，一有点成就便想着开历史倒车。
