Puff, the magic dragon  Puff 一条有魔力的龙

这是一个关于成长的童话故事，一头具有魔力名叫Puff的神龙与一个叫Jackie的小男孩之间的故事：

Puff是一头会喷火的魔龙，长久以来他一直住在海 边的岩洞里，经常独自在薄雾弥漫的海中寂寞游荡。一天有一个名叫Jackie的小男孩来到了海边，他不像普通人那么害怕Puff，还与Puff交上了朋 友。从此以后他们就天天在一起玩耍，Puff还让Jackie骑在他的脖子上，威风凛凛地带着他四处游历。但他们毕竟属于不同的两个世界，Puff是神 龙，他不会死不会老也不会长大，而Jackie却在一天天的成长着，他接触了更多的人和事，有了更多的朋友和自己的生活。Jackie越来越少出现在海 边，Puff孤独地窝在岩洞里不再那么生龙活虎，失去朋友的他伤心地连身上的鳞片也开始片片剥落。

说明：Puff是龙的名字，又是一个象声词，形容一整烟雾，很快消散，孩子的名字叫做Jackie Paper,Jackie是欧美一个很大众的名字，Paper是白纸，一张白纸很容易染上任何一种颜色，当孩子慢慢长大的时候，他就需要更多物质的的东 西，自然他也就不会在喜欢Puff了，而Puff在没有了孩子想象力支撑的时候，只能象烟雾一样消失掉了。

Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff
(小男孩Jackie Paper很喜欢它)
and brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff. Oh!
(常带给他一些细线，封蜡和很多奇特的材料)

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail
(他们一起驾着小船航行探险，乘风破浪)
Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff's gigantic tail,
(杰克站在波夫的大尾巴上了望)
Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er they came,
(当他们到来的时候，尊贵的国王和王子也要向他们鞠躬行礼)
Pirate ships would lower their flag when Puff roared out his name. Oh!
(当Puff大声叫出他的名字，连那些海盗船也要降下他们的旗子)

One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more
(在一个灰色的晚上终于发生了，Jackie Paper再也没有来)
And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.
(Puff，这条大龙停止了他威严的吼叫)

His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain,
(Puff变得悲哀，阴暗的心情就象下雨天)
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane.
(Puff不再前往美丽的陆地玩耍)
Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave,
(失去了多年的伙伴，Puff不再勇敢)
So puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave. oh!
(最后，Puff这条大龙悲伤地躲进了它的洞穴)
