英语原版书亲子阅读开贴记录
大家好！自从看到旺旺网上提到去图书馆借看英语原版书的事。我也心动了。过完年，我和我家宝宝去上海少儿图书馆借了2本。现在就开帖子记录。各位旺妈旺爸，也来谈谈！我每本看的书，打出来。我和宝宝准备一个月两本。
Queen of Halloween Feb.20
Ann Estelle had the perfect Halloween costume: a long lacy skirt, a bright shiny wand, and a pair of glittery wings. And a crown, of course. She was the Fairy Queen.
Her friend Michael was a pirate. He had a sword, an eye patch, and big black boots.
“ Yo-ho-ho！” said Michael。
“Tra-la-la！”said Ann Estelle.
“Trick or treat!”
“We don’t need a grown-up，”said Michael. “We’re old enough to go out trick-or-treating alone.”
Ann Estelle wasn’t sure about that. The night looked very dark. But she didn’t want Michael to think she was scared.
“Well, you might not need a grown-up, but I need some kids，” said Ann Estelle’s father. “Let’s go, before all the candy’s gone!”
Ann Estelle has been right. The night was dark. Even the streetlights didn’t seem very bright.
There were ghosts and witches running everywhere.
“Don’t be scared,” said Ann Estelle’s father, and he squeezed her hand tight. “ It’s just pretend.”
“ I know,” said Ann Estelle. But she squeezed his hand back.
“ Pirates are brave,” said Michael.
“Queens are brave too, ” said Ann Estelle.
They got chocolate bars from a witch. They got lollipops from a spooky mummy. They got apples from Mrs. McGilligan, Ann Estelle’s teacher.
“Good for your teeth!” she said.
Their bags got heavier and heavier.
“It’s late,” said Ann Estelle’s father. “ Time to head home.”
“One more house,” said Ann Estelle.
“ And can we go alone?” asked Michael. “We’re old enough!”
“ All right,” said Ann Estelle’s father,” I’ll wait for you on the sidewalk. Just go up and ring the doorbell.”
The house was big and old. The wind blew in the bushes as Ann Estelle and Michael came up the sidewalk. The closer they got, the scarier the house looked. They could hear a dog barking nearby.
Ann Estelle didn’t like big dogs.
She wanted to look back at her dad. But then Michael would know she was scared.
The porch steps creaked. The dog barked again.
“ I don’t think anybody’s home,” Michael whispered. “Let’s go back.” Ann Estelle looked at Michael. His voice sounded shaky.
The eye that wasn’t covered by the patch was very wide. Ann Estelle realized something. Michael was afraid!
Somehow that made Ann Estelle feel braver.
“Let’s ring the bell,” she said.
‘But there’s a dog!” said Michael.
“It’s in the backyard,” said Ann Estelle. “ It won’t hurt us.”
She pushed the doorbell with her finger. Nobody came.
“See, nobody’s home,” said Michael. But then the door cracked open.
“Trick or tread!’ said Ann Estelle. She poked Michael.
“Trick or treat!” he said.
You’re my last trick-or-treaters,” said the white-haired woman who opened the door. “So you might as well take all the candy.”
Michael and Ann Estelle held out their bags. Then they ran down the front walk to Ann Estelle’s father.
“You did it!” he said.
“Queens are brave,” said Ann Estelle. “And pirates too.”
“So you weren’t even a little scared?” asked her father. Ann Estelle looked at Michael. Michael looked at Ann Estelle. “ Oh, we were scared, all right！” Ann Estelle said. “But, you know, you have to be a little scared, so you can be brave!”
Three wishes
Chapter 1 Morning Wish
I want to fish in the pond outside.
I want to put my fishing line in the water.
I want to pull… and pull… and pull.
And, before I’m done, I want to pull out two hundred … and twenty-two fishes!
Chapter 2 Noon Wish
I want to be boss of the kitchen... and eat just how I want.
I’ll sit at the head of the table.
I’ll begin with rainsins and peanuts.
I’ll end with French fries and pizza.
And, when I’m done, I’ll throw my napkin away and… wipe my mouth on my sleeve!
Chapter 3 Night Wish
I want to climb the apple tree outside my window.
I want to climb the tree at night…and get a piece of fruit… and a piece of moon. Then I will go to bed, my pockets full--- one with fruit…and the other with moon.
If you had three wishes what would you wish for? Would it be to catch 220fishes? To be the boss of the kitchen? Or to capture a piece of the moon?.
