We should ask a question: How many schools in China took part in this competition? If only "上外", it's not surprising he won the contest. I guess many schools didn't join it because of their poor English. So it can not demonstrate "上外" is good at mathematics.

人的精力是有限的,在某一方面特别突出,其实已经很优秀了,但势必限制其他方面的发展,至少不可能也达到一流的水准,这是客观规律!!!
在我看来,坦诚地承认其他方面略不如人,反而更显得真实和大气,也更能显示名校的风范,从而赢得真正的尊重
