我女儿说：两种都可以。我认为是A，表示水果。

如果是泛指 水果 用fruit, 或者用 a fruit, 看情形而定。
例句：Would you like some more fruit?你想再来点水果吗？
例句：The potato is not a fruit.土豆不是水果。
例句：Loquat，plums, and apples are fruit.枇杷，梅和苹果都是水果。

能用 fruits 表示不同的水果
例句：Three different fruits were painted on the vase.三种不同的水果被画在了花瓶上。

vegetable和fruit差不多的情况。
