今天都是我在说，女儿状态不好，脑子像浆糊，说得不多。学Persuasion，写作中很重要的一种形式。
我：What is persuasion?
女儿：I don't know.
我：Persuasion is like you say something good so people will be persuaded to your point of view. Then they will buy your products.
女儿：I know. It's an advertisement.
我：Well done. But not only advertisement is a kind of persuasion, think of something else. How about catalogue?
女儿：There are products and price in it.
我：Yes, it also persuades you to buy things. Do you know travel brochure? For example, you read a HK Disneyland brochure. A lot of nice pictures show how fantastic the place is. You're like "Oh, I want to go there to play, it must be great fun." So the purpose of travel brochure is to persuade you to go. Also, have you ever seen a poster? A movie poster?
女儿：Yes.
我：What does a movie poster look like?Why do we have a movie poster?
女儿：It tells you the latest movie. It is big, sometimes shining, people are looking beautiful. So you probably go to the cinema to watch it.
我：Right. Poster is a persuasion as well. Why is it always very big?
女儿：Because it can catch your eyes.
我：Well, we know adverts, catalogue, travel brochure and poster are persuasion. If you were the designer, how would you write your advertisement? How do you sell your products? Firstly, you need to think who is gonna be the audience?
女儿：Customers?
我：Yes. Then you have to grab their attention, gain their trust and convince them you are right. If I say this golden necklace costs two yuan. Would you believe? People might think it is a trick or catch, they don't trust.
女儿：They think it is fake.
我：Probably. Now, you can write a poster of your product. What do you need to write or draw to catch your audience's eyes and persuade them to buy it?
女儿：I would like to sell PSP.

我们是一年级开始的，其实幼儿园也实践过，看图读单词之类，看上去好像认识很多的单词，但因为没有放在故事里，也没有用的机会，基本上一二周后就忘了很多，我反思了这种教光背单词和句子的方法，觉得是错误的，决定不再这样教了。
所以从一年级开始就再也不刻意背单词了，直接读原版故事，同时教Phonix，读了三个月书后就开始比较系统地教写作，一开始写的东西单词间没有空格，大小写不分，很多拼写错误，而且不能独立完成。一定要有老师或家长在旁边陪着指导。经过不断纠正练习，期间加大阅读量和范围（只要不反感，从每天一本到最多每天3本图画书），听故事和看动画片，适当做些阅读理解的题目等。在三年级的时候突然有了飞跃。
以上的课程是学Persuasion，在国外是三年级左右学习并写作的，当然到了高中写作中还有学Persuasion，要求完全不一样了。
如果你的孩子表现不是很有耐心，是否是因为课程设计不是很有趣？我和孩子的互动也是从二三年级开始的，因为当时已经有了一定的语言基础，也养成了较好的学习习惯。
同样的教学方法，不同的孩子也会有快有慢。我总结我家孩子有几个优点是帮助学习的，一是记忆力好。二是有兴趣的东西砖得进去，也坐得定。三是听力模仿力好。第三点是我也很佩服的，她听过点俄语，看DVD时会认出谁谁说的英语有俄国口音，果然是的。.
