[外语] 求教on the street还是in the street

又如：
I can hear a child in the street.

如物体大一点的，就用"on"，如：
I can hear ...

这下子搞明白了

类似的好象还有in the playground,on the playground: in a farm,on a farm

一直迷糊着..
