MoCA Shanghai ART Summer Camp —— A mini-tour of the art of the World Expo
During the 2010 summer vacation, no child wants to be stuck at home turning into a couch potato! After experiencing the World Expo, bring your child to MoCA Shanghai to take a mini-tour of the art of the World Expo!
About MoCA Shanghai
The Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai (MOCA Shanghai) is the first non-profit, independently-operated contemporary art institution in Shanghai. Endorsed by the Shanghai Municipal Government and funded by the Samuel Kung Foundation, MoCA Shanghai is devoted to the promotion of Chinese and international contemporary art.
MoCA Kids’ Corner Workshop
Every Saturday afternoon, Our MoCA Education Team holds a kids’ corner workshop for children. We design all kinds of creative activities as well as art classes for children, and each workshop follows our current exhibition’s theme. The children will not only learn to appreciate the art works in our museum, but will also create their own art works, using different materials we prepare for them. At MoCA, we let the children’s imagination fly!
Special Summer Program –A mini-tour of the art of the World Expo
For the upcoming summer vacation, MoCA’s education team has designed a very special five-day art summer camp for children, coinciding nicely with the Shanghai World Expo. This five-day summer camp is an intensive art-creation trip. It includes five parts:
1. Striving to Be Little International Art Experts
2. We Are All Guardians of the Environment
3. Close Contact with a Contemporary Artist
4. Little Artists Go on a Creative Journey!
5. Little Artists’ Mini-Expo Exhibition
As you can see, this summer camp will not only expose children to different cultural and artistic styles from around the world, but also allow them to experience every stage of an artworks’ creation. Finally, they will have their own art works displayed in MoCA’s Kids’ Corner. Your friends and relatives are most welcome to come and visit it!
