这两个单词在具体的使用和意义上的区别具体有哪些呀?

如果只有两样东西，那么就是one is ......another is ...... 或者one is ......the other is......
如果不属于同一范围内的东西，那么就是some are......others are
如果属于同一范围内的东西，那么就是some are.......the others(rest) are
好像单独用other的很少碰到。希望对你有帮助。

就是说,
another 用于单数, the other=another
单数other 不能使用

属同一范围内的东西,大于2个时,用the others
非同一范围内的东西,大于2个时,用others

对吗?

你的理解应该是对的，像题目中的other birds 实际上就是不属于同一范围内的，简写就是others。这种类型的题目考试很容易考到，就是要求孩子会区分所描述的东西是否属于同一范围内的。.

the other 不等于another。
表示两者其一， one.... the other,
表示不确定的用another:
比如你去买鞋子，店里只有两双鞋，你看了一双，看另一双，用the other
但是如果店里有许多双鞋，你看了一双，还想看别的，就必须用按another..
