Job Title: Senior Accountant (China)
Reports To: Finance Manager, North Asia
Job Objectives:
1. Manage the accounting records in compliance with corporate policy and statutory requirements
2. Optimize organization’s investment in working capital and fixed assets
3. Communicate with the different business related party and provide different financial and business analysis for management decision making for business in China.
4. Develop the financial policies and strenth the internal controls of the business.
5. Manage the internal and external reporting on a timely and accurately basis
6. Analyse financial results to highlight variance from plan / forecasts
7. Coach and supervise subordinate to handle full sets of accounts and periodic reportings under both local China accounting rules and US GAAP.
8. Manage both internal audit and financial audit with internal and external auditors.
Senior Accountant position with month end responsibilities and project base responsibilities may necessitate long hours to meet reporting deadlines. This position is also required to train back up when on leave and may be required to stand in for other finance colleagues (eg due to sick leave etc) where appropriate to ensure strict adherence to all deadlines.
Education:
1. Accounting / Finace related degree
2. Member of Accounting professional body.
Experience:
1. At least 7 years commercial working experience in MNC with sales and marketing focus.
2. Knowledge in preparing full set accounts is mandatory.
3. Ability to handle tight deadlines and manage a diverse range of assigned work.
4. Knowledge of computerised accounting system and desktop software such as MS office.
