50本最受美国孩子喜爱的书
这50本书是在1800位美国孩子看过的8000本书中，最受孩子喜欢的首50本书。
NEA poll spotlights kids’ favorite books:
1. Harry Potter (series) by J.K. Rowling(哈利·波特系列/人文社)
2. Goosebumps (series) by R.L. Stine
3. Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss(绿鸡蛋与火腿/没有出版，据说这本书只有50个单词，是苏斯博士与友人打赌所作)
4. The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss(戴高帽的猫/苏斯博士/任溶溶译/上海译文社)
5. Arthur (series) by Marc Brown
6. Charlotte’sEeb by E.B. White(夏洛的网/E.B.怀特/大概在1979年有一个译本，现在在网上有个网友肖毛的译本，也不错。怀特的另外两部童话《吹小号的天鹅》《精灵鼠小弟》由任溶溶翻译，上海译文出版)
7. Shilob (trilogy) by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
8. Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
9. Holes by Louis Sachar(洞/大概是2000年纽伯瑞儿童文学奖得主，少年小说，朝花出版社出版)
10. The Giver by Lois Lowry
11. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis(纳尼亚王国传奇/C.S.刘易斯，魔幻小说中的极品，一套共7本，最著名的是其中一本《狮王、妖婆和大衣柜》，译林出版社出版)
12. Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (series) by Judy Blume
13. Sideways Stories from Wayside School (series) by Louis Sachar
14. The BFG by Roald Dahl(译作《好心眼的巨人》，绝对经典，达尔名著，任溶溶翻译，明天出版社出版。达尔的另外几部经典也应该上榜—《查理与巧克力工厂》《女巫》《玛蒂尔达》《詹姆斯和大仙桃》)

21. Little House on life Praire (series) by Laura Ingalls Wilder(《草原上的小屋》，相信大家很熟悉，因为有一部连续剧。有一个最近出的中文译本，是大众文艺社出的。)
22. Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein(这位Shel Silverstein是一位有魔力的画家、儿童诗人，他的另外一部作品诗集《阁楼上的光》，曾被人选译介绍过。还没见到完整的引进版。不过他的诗没法译！)
23. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl(《查理与巧克力工厂》，绝对经典！可惜近今年没有见到它的中文版。)

25. Clifford the Big Red Dog (series) by Norman Bridwell
26. Stuart Little by E.B. White(《精灵鼠小弟》。最近放的电影是好莱坞改写版的续集)

37. The Call of the Wild by Jack London(野性的呼唤/杰克·伦敦/向来在成人的文学世界也是经典，应该有多个中文版本)
38. The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss 还是苏斯博士，这本书没有引进
39. How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss(这本书译作《鬼灵精》，讲一个小鬼破坏圣诞节的故事，最近曾有动画大片)
40. James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahi(《詹姆斯和大仙桃》/还是达尔！/本书也有电影，实景与动画混合版，迪斯尼大片)
