Joan Miró Spanish painter, whose surrealist works, with their subject matter drawn from the realm of memory and imaginative fantasy, are some of the most original of the 20th century. Miró was born April 20, 1893, in Barcelona and studied at the Barcelona School of Fine Arts and the Academia Galí.

For next class student's homework will be to begin to develop a surrealist story around their character.  This will be done in student's journals.    Where is your character located and what is your character doing? This story will be illustrated using cut out images from magazine, new paper, paper, drawing etc…Bring art material to share and exchange to work on your journal and story during the next class: paper, glue, magazine, wool, leaves, etc….
