The lazy boy thinks words Mummy and Daddy are too long, so he use Mum and Dad instead of Mommy and Daddy![em07]

先让他知道大小写和标点符号。Mum Dad要大写。I have a younger sister后面要句号句掉， My Dad is thin也要句号。英文的习惯和中文不同，没有那么多逗号的。
还有，说妈妈，妹妹fat是不礼貌的，有贬义的意思。

You are welcome. In fact, I am a layperson. The Oriental Green Boat reminds me the yacht in Huangpu river. It results from the confused official translation. Therefore I like the phrases such as "jiayou".

When home is adverb, there is no preposition between verb and home, ie "go home".

如果有以上两点英语的写句，写作才会进步。
英语思维和中文差很远的，一般的作文一看就能辨别。对与不对就在思维里，而非语法或字词里。

现在的水平，就是有笔友也比较难持续。国外一般水平的二年级孩子的作文已经很不错了，虽然会有拼写错误。三年级有的孩子已经读哈里波特，甚至Twilight了。

不要急于先和别人交流，要趁年龄还小先增加阅读量，到中学时就自然能和同龄人有话讲了。因为外国孩子也不一定有耐心，看到你写的说的不明白，是不会和你多交流的。还有，国内孩子的接触面和他们不一样，关注的事情也不同，所以共同语言要慢慢培养。我女儿说：至少要经历过，才能在那个圈子里有发言资格，否则人家直接忽略你，他们都很现实的。.

This one is a little different because I believe in British common useage "I cought cold" would be correct, in American english common useage it would more correctly be " I caught a cold last night."

If you're going to use "and" it should probably be all one sentence. (I know there are cases when starting a sentence with "and" is acceptable, but I just don't like it stylistically.)

So it should either be:

"I caught a cold last night and now I am coughing."

Or

"I caught a cold last night. Now I am coughing." (or "I am coughing now." is fine too).

"No coughing today." isn't a sentence just a fragment.

To be a sentence, it needs to be something like:
"I'm not coughing today."
I also think the useage of recovered in that context is a little off (not necessarily wrong, just a little awkward. It might be better with "I have almost recovered." or "I am almost well.".

Perfectly fine sentences (other than the spelling os "Sister" that's probably just a typo.

The use of "elder" while correct, is pretty formal in American english (it's probably pretty common in British english) In america, we'd probably say "older" more often..

Someone correct me if I speak out of turn, but I think this is the wrong preposition for any english dialect. It should be "for" winter holiday. Again, in the US we'd more likely say "for winter vacation."

We don't go "on holiday" we go "on vacation" and we celebrate a holiday, but going on hoilday is perfectly fine in British useage..

This one crosses some cultural lines again.

One quarter of the teachers are available today (at least need a verb in that sentence) The others went to (the) hospital for physical checks.

In the US we go to "a' hospital or "the" hospital, I realize it's not the same in other parts of the english speaking world. The physical chekcs either needs to be plural or have an indefinite article. I chose the plural route since we're talking about plural teachers. One could argue that the others individually went for "a" physical check and I don't think that'd be wrong either..

小车子才6、7岁，还小吧，看他写的每日一句不错啊！受年龄限制是个不可避免的问题。其实我也常困惑的，不过总相信基础知识累积到一定程度总会有反馈有输出的吧。

家里就教材教的，书上每个角落都不放过；单词都要求的，只是有的认知即可，有的需要背熟及运用；尽量补充一些近义词、反义词；尽量用英语解释英语单词、词组或句子。另外，尽量鼓励她在日常生活中脱离书本讲英语（目前她远远不够）；读原版简版小说给她听，语速不能放慢，不懂的用她知道的语句或单词复述给她听。目前为止仅此而已。看到很多有经验的妈妈介绍大量阅读和看原版片的，Wini7岁多点目前还不行，年龄上去基础扎实了再说吧。.

I probably wouldn't use a comma, I think it's okay with or without it. I think usually the comma takes the place of the "because" as it split's the sentence and tells the reader the information in the next clause is related to the first. I think the "because" is necessary in this sentence, the comma maybe not. Oh, and "mom" should not be capitalized in this use..

Instead of "Till now" I'd use "So far" or "Up til now" Neither of which I believe, is technically correct (i.e. they sound good colloquially, but not properl "Till now" is really just a shortened version of "Up till now" which is technically wrong becasue it's starting a sentence with a prepositional phrase. Also I believe back stroke and breast stroke are both two word combinations and butterfly is one word. A better consturction of the sentence would be: "I have learned the back stroke, breast stroke, and butterfly stroke so far." the rest is fine. English teachers may or may not liek the use of the contraction "It's" and insist on "It is" which sounds awkward and formal frankly, but is better for formal writing..

这里有一个很明显的词的现象，就是合成词。在国外小学生语法学习中有一个重要的课程就是合成词学习。因为在英语中有很多这样的词，他们分开是两个意思，而合起来又是不同的意思，当中无需空格。比如：footprint, sunset等等。所以要帮助孩子了解这个部分，正确使用合成词。

Structure is fine. I think I'd delete the second exclamation point. You want to limit exclamation point use (or they loose their effectiveness.) Also, there seems soemthing alomst contradictory about "pity" being exclaimed....

The first sentence is fine.

"It's a pity" Doesn't makee much sense as a sentence of it's own, and it's missing the "who"...hhhmm let's see, foget the part of speech that would be called to explain.

Here are a couple of options: It's a pity, there are over ten children who got the flu this weekend and can't go." (I added the last part because it seemed there needed to be a reason WHY you were telling us this fact, so it's more a style thing, than a grammatical thing.)

or More than ten children got the flu this weekend and can't go; what a pity..

Okay, the first sentence is missing the "who" and it's really bugging me that I can't think of what part of speech that is called, so if anyone can chime in and help me, it would ease my mind.

Anyway - the Frist sentence shoudl read: There were fourteen families who visited the milk factory this afternoon.

I think the last sentence should also be in past tense, although I can see you could make a case for present tense. I guess it depends on the message being conveyed.

It could be "All of us were very happy." Which conveys the notion that we did this and it made us happy. Of "All of us are happy now." which coneys we did this and the result is that we are now happy. In general I'd keep the tenses agreeing, unless I specirfically added the "now" to differentiate the timing of the events..

You would never use commas like that in a proper english sentence, but I guess if it makes sense where you live...

In anything I've ever learned, you would only use a semi-colon to seperate segments of a sentence like that without the word "and" or something similar. Never commas, that's completely inappropriate. Periods are fine, but that does make it look a little choppy, but if you were going to combine it, you would use a semi-colon.

So it would be:

There were fourteen famillies who visited the milk factory this afternoon; we all walked around the workshop and tasted fresh milk; we were all very happy.

And it still looks very odd. Anyway.

The only way it would look proper with commas would be:

There were fourteen famillies who visited the milk factory this afternoon, and we all walked around the workshop and tasted fresh milk, and we were all very happy.

And that's obviously a run-on sentence.

If it were me typing this up, it would look like this:

There were fourteen famillies who visited the milk factory this afternoon. We all walked around the workshop and tasted fresh milk, and we were all very happy..

everything is fine with the sentence except "rackets" needs to be plural (since it's a pair) otherwise, I think "[color=Magenta][size=6]Notebook[/size][/color]," should be one word, and a box of bandmintons would actually be a box of "[color=Magenta][size=6]shuttle cocks[/size][/color]" or [size=6][color=Magenta]"birdies"[/color][/size] wouldn't it?.

I like riding my bike. or even "I like riding bikes" (generic concept)

In the second sentence, "just now" is probably pretty accepted british colloquial speech. In a formal written sentence it's redundant. Should probably more correctly be "I just rode my bike." So it's not "wrong" just a little casual..

As for the second sentence I think I'd make it past tense and use the word study. "I liked studying it." seems to fit better, although I don't think there's anything technically wrong with the other..

I just looked up the meaning of the phrase "What a shame" at online dictionaries, and found that I can't agree with your explanation. Because the word "Shame" is a very emotional expression for mistakes or wrongdoings. Unless not going with the kid's mom to her annual party would result in serious consequences to the kid (e.g. the kid had been keenly longing for the party for considerable times before he got to know the disappointing news, and he tasted the pain bitterly). Actually, the kid had something else to do, and, not going to the party was unfortunate for him, but still it was not a big deal. Therefore, it is inappropriate to use the emotional phrase here. I guess the phrase could be pretty common in articles by Chinese. But I don't see this word very ofter in any Western publications, newspaper, magazine, etc.

I think that we have gone too far from the origin of the topic. Here is my last reply to your further question.

Read your example, I think that the teacher's reaction is correct, because in Western countries, it is quite natural for young kids to bring some small gifts, no matter how expense or cheap might be, to their mom/dad to express their affections to their parents / grand parents, when there is a good opportunity arises, e.g. excursion, camp, etc. The teacher might thought that it would be shameful / embarrassing that a kid hadn't shared something happy with their families / close friends by just mailing a postcard. It is also weird that a kid didn't do so because his mom told him that she didn't need it. Even in my point of view, the mom's approach is a little bit unorthodoxy. That's why the teacher used the phrase, not the phrase "what a pity", I guess.

What a shame if the kid hadn't gone to his mom's birthday party for whatever reason might be, and what a pity for the kid to miss her mom's company party because he had other things to do. My understanding..

I'd put another comma after Jasmine, it separates the list of names. There should always be a space after a comm too.

The "On the way home..." sentence is missing an article. It should say either 'some pictures of the night scene" or "of a night scene." I'd tend toward "the." The use of "really" in the last sentence is redundant, I'd leave it out.

I'd leave the "too" off the first sentence. Each sentence should make sense on it's own and this one doesn't until you read the next sentence.

I'd put a comma after "Now,"

I'd say "I worry about them... " everything else in the paragraph is first person, introducing third person in this sentence makes the reader wonder, "just who is 'we' now?"

I'd tend to use "with my "Sister" some people say it's assumed, depends on whether you use "sister" and a proper name or not (as well as local custom.)

I'd leave the definite article off of "bread." The reader doesn't know about the existence of any bread yet so referring it to is a a specific thing, is qa little awkward. If the bread had been introduced to us in an earlier sentence or even earlier in the sentence (such as "Mom brought some bread for a snack. On the way home, my sister and I shared the bread, bite by bite.") that would work for me. oh, and you need a comman after "bread."

haha, let's go easy on the kid. he is doing just great, so is his mom. he writes in a way as how we speak on a daily basis. and most of the time, i use: me and my sister....lol. and i don't normally start a sentence with a capital letter. let's appreciate andy and his mom's effort in learning a new language..
